Konsumen:

Tetrasiklin (kecuali doksisiklin) dieliminasi oleh ginjal untuk berbagai tingkat. Pasien dengan gangguan ginjal mungkin berada pada risiko yang lebih besar untuk tetrasiklin terkait hepatik dan/atau toksisitas ginjal (peningkatan BUN dengan konsekuen azotemia, hiperfosfatemia, dan asidosis) karena penurunan klirens obat. Terapi dengan tetrasiklin harus diberikan dengan hati-hati dengan pengurangan dosis pada pasien dengan gangguan ginjal. Pemantauan klinis ginjal dan fungsi hati dianjurkan, dan serum tetrasiklin tingkat mungkin diperlukan selama terapi jangka panjang.
